Next week I will be going to the Amazon River in Brazil on a mission trip with 14 other adults. I am very excited but also realize that to do all the work that God has prepared for us we need much prayer.

The ministry sending us is  Amazon Outreach, which is a non-profit, interdenominational mission organization formed to support Brazilian churches and other organized ministries in spreading the gospel message of Jesus Christ throughout the Amazon River Basin.  They have partnered with indigenous churches in Brazil that are seeking unreached people in villages along the river.  Some of the 33,000 villages along the river have never even heard the Gospel.

Amazon Outreach takes Christians from every walk of life to participate in short term mission trips through various ministries along the Amazon River.  These include medical and dental care, building water wells, construction, evangelism and children’s, men’s and women’s ministries.  By meeting physical needs, we establish relationships with the villagers, opening the door to share Christ’s great love with the people.

Could you please pray for us?  For our spirits to be as one; for our health and strength to be full; to be able to minister to the people in every way possible; for safety.
